1. A Note About Children Under Age 13
The Sites are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we ask that such persons not submit personal information to us. We believe that is important that parents or guardians supervise their children when they are online. As a result, we ask that children under the age of 18 use these Sites only in conjunction with parents or guardians.
2. Use of IP Addresses
An IP address is a number that is assigned to your computer when you are online. Web servers identify your computer by its IP address. These Sites may collect IP addresses for the purposes of system or analytics administration, to report aggregate information to actual or potential advertisers, and to audit the use of our Sites. When visitors request pages from the Sites, our servers log their IP addresses. We do not normally link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable, which means that a user’s session will be logged, but the user remains anonymous to us and other users. We will use IP addresses to identify a user when we feel it is necessary to enforce compliance with our Terms of Use or to protect our service, site, customers, or others.
3. Use of Cookies
Cookies are pieces of information that a website transfers to your computer for record-keeping purposes. Cookies make browsing the Internet easier for you by saving your preferences while you access a website. By showing how and when users use our Sites, cookies help us see which areas are popular and which are not. We use the information from cookies to provide content and services better tailored to our users’ needs. The Sites never save passwords in cookies. Visitors to the Sites always have the option of disabling cookies via their browser preferences. While most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, you can reset your browser to refuse all cookies or indicate when a cookie is being sent. But note that some parts of the Sites may not function properly or may be considerably slower if you refuse cookies. You may occasionally get cookies directly from our advertisers, which we do not and cannot control.
4. Other Information We Collect and Our Use and Disclosure of Your Information
In order to use these Sites, you are not required to complete a registration form detailing any personally identifiable information. In order to receive our AI for BV™ newsletter, you must provide your email address and credit card information.
We anticipate creating an order form for certain products or services we plan to offer. A user will have to provide certain contact information (such as name, email, and shipping address) and possibly financial information (such as a credit card number, security code, and expiration date). This information will be used for fulfillment and billing purposes. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use the information to contact the user. It is also possible that additional information may be collected in connection with certain promotions or contests we plan to offer.
If you send us personal correspondence, such as emails or letters, or if other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or postings on our Sites, we may collect such information in a file specific to you. We would use that information to resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, or enforce our Terms of Use.
None of the information you provide to us will be shared with any third parties, and your information will never be used to solicit your purchase of third-party goods or services.
5. Linked Sites
For your convenience, the Sites may contain links to other websites. BVA is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites. Users should be aware that when they are on our Sites, they could be directed to other websites that are beyond our control. Such other websites may send their own cookies to users, collect data, or solicit personal information. Whenever you give out personal information online, such information can be collected and used by other people. While we strive to protect our users’ personal information and privacy, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you disclose online, and you do so at your own risk.
6. Security
The Sites have security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse, and alteration of the information under our control. All user information is stored on a server operated by a third party, using standard security measures. Notwithstanding these efforts, we caution you that “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet and, therefore, you share information at your own risk.
7. Choice/Opt-Out
The Sites give users the following option for removing their information from our database, to not receive future communications, or to no longer receive our service: we allow you to opt out of receiving communications (including our newsletter) from us about current or new BVA offers, programs, and events.
